How to shop at Kroger to get the most savings

Get a Kroger Plus Card. It is free and easy to get. The card is what will allow you to get the discounted price.. You can use the card at the gas pumps also. The card allows not only for lower prices, but also for downloading coupons on the card before going to the store. The more you use your card the more points you earn.

Check the Kroger flyer for sales and weekly ads. Then, to save even more find manufacturer coupons. A good source is Sunday's newspaper coupon inserts. Every week has Smart Source and Red Plum, and once a month there's a Procter&Gamble insert. You can additionally send for coupon books off of some manufacturer websites and of course, internet coupons.

Now the time-consuming part, match the weekly sales with your coupons. Or take the easy road and use The Coupon Crate to do the matching for you! Either way, your best price (and usually free) are the products on sale or promotion.

Kroger also gives away free samples. Go to the Kroger website @ www.kroger.com. At the top of the page, select the "In Store" link. From the menu, choose "Samples". Once you find the samples you would like, choose them. The amount of samples vary by week. Fill in the requested information, including your Kroger Plus Card number, which is on the back of your card under the bar code. Your samples will be delivered right to your door. How easy is that?!
